Job Overview

A major player in the field of energy production, our client has been active for several years on the nuclear energy markets in France and internationally.

Main Objectives

  • Ensure that all incidents, accidents, and near misses are properly recorded, reported, and investigated.
  • Prepare the site in collaboration with contractors, covering all HSE aspects such as operating procedures, training, and certifications.
  • Effectively communicate health and safety information to project team members, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Monitor the HSE performance of contractors and ensure their compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the site and facilities to identify and address HSE non-conformities.
  • Produce and submit weekly and monthly reports to the HSE manager and site representative.
  • Share lessons learned and implement best practices in all activities.
  • Report and monitor KPI performance related to safety and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in site meetings to address HSE issues.
  • Organize and take part in major safety-related events: Safety Awareness Days, Safety Presentations, etc.
  • Observe and participate in on-site emergency drills to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Verify that subcontractors and visitors comply with HSE requirements during their activities.
  • Raise awareness among teams about the importance of HSE practices through presentations and training.
  • Collaborate with teams to anticipate risks and plan necessary actions for each phase of the project.

Job Requirements

Engineering degree (specialized in HSE or generalist) / Minimum of 1 year in a similar role, ideally in renewable energy or an industrial environment / Strong affinity for on-site work and ability to intervene directly in the field / Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders / High level of rigor, analytical mindset, and ability to synthesize to anticipate needs and risks / Proactive and capable of anticipating and managing unforeseen issues effectively.
