Job Overview

Main Objectives

    

  • Functionally lead high voltage testing activities, reporting to the Substation Testing Manager.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel involved in the testing phase.
  • Act as a liaison between key stakeholders: client, suppliers, installation teams, and engineering office.
  • Guarantee that installations comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a high-quality relationship with the client throughout the mission.
  • Monitor the budget lines associated with testing activities.
  • Provide regular updates on progress and encountered difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare test documentation (procedures, reports) in coordination with subcontractors; follow up on drafting, address feedback, and ensure validation.
  • Plan and organize high voltage tests with suppliers:
    • Standalone tests (Transformers, GIS) after handover by the installation team.
    • Testing of protection systems and SCADA (supervision), including I/O testing and management of changes.
    • Final integration tests to confirm the proper global operation of the HV system.
  • Actively participate in on-site tests, especially for new or technically complex installations.
  • Support installation teams in obtaining the prerequisites for testing.
  • Follow up on comments made by the client and the classification society, and escalate to Project Managers or Technical Leads when needed.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented by the installation teams.
  • Validate test reports (protocols).
  • Deliverables include:
    • Weekly progress and blocking point reports.
    • Commissioning and system presentation reports.
    • Harbor Acceptance Tests (HAT) signed by the client and the classification society.
    • Updates to various project databases.
    • Ongoing feedback and experience reports (REX) via detailed documentation.

Job Requirements

Solid background in commissioning and testing of high voltage systems / Valid electrical certifications: H0/B0/H2V/B2V/BC Essais according to standard NFC 18-510 / Mandatory GWO certification for offshore work / Ability to work offshore for up to 14 consecutive days (12 hours per day) / Willingness to travel for short missions across Europe (to subcontractor or partner sites).
